Fund Types

2026 PSG Annual Meeting Fund

Donations to the 2026 Pacific Seabird Group (PSG) Annual Meeting Fund support the planning and delivery of the 2026 PSG Annual Meeting. Contributions help cover conference logistics, virtual meeting platforms, and programming, as well as registration scholarships for students and early-career scientists and awards recognizing excellence in seabird research and conservation.

Your support helps foster collaboration, professional development, and the global exchange of scientific knowledge within the seabird community.

Craig S. Harrison Conservation Fund

This fund advances seabird conservation efforts across the Pacific, with a focus on supporting individuals from developing countries. Donations to this fund support Conservation Fund Grants, which help empower local conservation leaders, expand capacity, and promote long-term protection of seabird populations and habitats.

Former Chairs’ Fund

An unrestricted fund supported by former PSG Chairs that allows contributions to be allocated to special projects benefiting and promoting the society. Currently, the former chairs fund the Student Research Grants program to support seabird research by student members of PSG. Donations provide flexibility to address emerging needs, innovative initiatives, and strategic priorities.

PSG General Fund

The PSG General Fund supports a wide range of society activities, including research support, education, outreach, and operational needs. Contributions ensure PSG can continue advancing its mission wherever support is most needed.

PSG Access Fund for Travel and Membership

The PSG Access Fund for Travel and Membership supports travel and membership awards that help broaden participation in the Pacific Seabird Group. This fund prioritizes support for:

  • Students
  • Early-career scientists
  • International researchers
  • Indigenous speakers

Your donation helps cover travel expenses and meeting registration fees via the Travel Awards program, as well as supporting PSG membership costs, reducing financial barriers and fostering greater inclusion, diversity, and global participation within the seabird research and conservation community.

As a consolidated fund, the PSG Access Fund enables flexible resource allocation across initiatives such as PSG HELPS and Corresponding Members, ensuring meaningful and equitable engagement in PSG’s mission.
